Website and Graphic Design

Obviously not many people are able to offer one-to-one tutorials, but many people know of Web sites that offer advice and tutorials for aspiring World Wide Web designers, and all of us know a few Web sites that are beautifully designed. So rather than sending abusive eMail to the owner of the site send a short eMail and include the URLs for your favourite Web sites and sites where tutorials and resources can be found. The "Web Pages That Suck" site is a place where you can learn about designing for the World Wide Web just by viewing examples of bad design, but what defines 'bad design'?
In theory there should not be any good, nor bad, design, simply becYou might even think that the NEW Direction URL would be worthy of a mention in such an eMail. (It is www.cfm.24.co.uk/nd/ by the way!) [New URL - just www.cfm24.co.uk]
So even if you do not know how to produce a Web site yourself, you can help others who think they do by telling them about the Web sites you like.
You might think this pretentious and patronising, but if we are to clean up the World Wide Web that is what we have to do. Only joking. Hmmm, no I'm not, there are a lot of Web pages out there, apple.com has nearly 250,000 alone, not including all their other sites around the world, so the total number of individual pages available on the World Wide Web is unimaginable. Unfortunately many of the millions of Web pages are terrible. There are many that have been neglected an never updated, those that promise a lot but fail to deliver, those that could be useful or entertaining if it weren't for the overuse of crap clip-art and broken links...
Need I go on?
