Do You Suffer?

Do you browse the World Wide Web and find yourself waiting and waiting for certain pages to appear on your screen? Does this frustrate you? We have all heard the term, 'World Wide Wait', as an alternative. Sadly this phrase seems to be getting more appropriate as more people use the Internet and as more Web pages are added to the immense mess that is the World Wide Web.

If waiting for pages to download isn't enough, finding something we actually want to view is becoming even harder. There are numerous Web Directories and Search Engines that help us find what we are searching for but these are becoming full of links to the garbage that is cluttering the World Wide Web.

It is a shame that these directories and search facilities don't filter out the crud, indeed some do, but so many are compiled autonomously with little human intervention. The beauty of the World Wide Web is its inherent diversity, the fact that anyone with a computer and a little time can publish their thoughts and ideas on the World Wide Web is wondrous. However, it is a shame that so many people do indeed spend very little time creating their homes on the Web, decorating them with time consuming animation and other pointless elements. Nasty cheap clip-art, pathetic midi tunes, Java applets that slow computers down to a crawl and for what? a little scrolling text or some other "kewl" effect.

These three ingredients; long download times, inability to find what you want and the totally useless crap that is available can make journeys on the World Wide Web very depressing.
